Regent’s International School Bangkok hosted a major outdoor festival called “Celebrate Thailand: An Evening in memory of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej” on the eve of Father’s Day, Thailand’s National Day, the Birthday of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
All ages and all nationalities were represented at the show. Staff and parents also took part in dance and costume contests. Teachers prepared students to perform this Thai cultural show taking its inspiration from the four regions of Thailand. Students sang, danced and entertained delighted spectators.
Dr. Virachai Techavijit, Chairman and founder of the school presided over proceedings after a formal opening ceremony. Audience of 1,500 Thai and international friends and family including Wanmai, a kid superstar, attended this event with many in stunning Thai style dress.
