True Group forges ahead with the continuation of the “Novice Monks Cultivate Dharma Wisdom”, Thailand’s first Dharma reality TV program which has been successful for over half a decade, now entering its 6th year at Wat Khao Wong in Saraburi province overseen by the abbot Phra Khru Bhavanabhilas. Under this year’s theme of “Love Oneself – Love People – Love the World – Love the Universe”, the TV program aims to cultivate knowledge with virtues among the youngsters.
Upon entering the monkhood, the novices will practice Dharma principles, learn the value of love which starts from oneself, then share it to others, treat the surroundings with love based on kindness and compassion principles, seeking for the true meaning of Universal Love. True Group’s intention is to present the stories of these young boys on the 6th “Novice Monks Cultivate Dharma Wisdom” TV program as a good example for society and inspire the audiences to lead lives in accordance to Buddhist principles.
The public is invited to give moral support to these 12 young novices, who were selected from over 4,000 applicants from across the country, by watching the month-long reality program which will run from April 20 – May 20, 2017 on TrueVisions Reality Channel 60, 99 and TrueVisions Reality HD Channel 119 or 333. The objective of this TV program is to cultivate good deeds, virtues and ethics among the young generation.
This year, the 12 novice monks who were selected from more than 4,000 applicants nationwide will be brought to Wat Khao Wong in Saraburi province to study and practice the Lord Buddha’s teachings under the supervision of Abbot Master Phra Khru Bhavanabhilas (Luangta Watcharachai Intawangso). They will learn Dharma under the theme “Love Oneself – Love People – Love the World – Love the Universe”, leading them to discover the universal love, starting from :
1) Love Oneself – learn to love oneself in a correct manner and express it through body, wordings and mind;
2) Love People – learn to love and sacrifice oneself to others without expecting returns;
3) Love the World – see values of the surroundings as well as live in harmony with nature ; and
4) Love the Universe – the conclusion of all love, connecting from oneself, others and the environment to achieve the goal of “Compassion”, which is based on the fact that everything supports each other.
The objective of the program is to set good examples and inspire Thai youths and the public to learn more about Dharma principles and how to apply them in their daily lives.”
In addition, it is a great honor for True Group that for this year’s TV program, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has bestowed a set of monk’s robes for the preceptor in the Novice Monks Cultivate Dharma Wisdom Year 6’s ordination ceremony, which will be held on April 22, 2017.
The program is also honored by Pra Maha Wuttichai Whachirametee, director of the Vimuttayalaya Institute, as the Novice Monks Cultivate Dharma Wisdom’s consultant and a group of “For Good Life” reverend monks to teach Dharma to these 12 novice monks.

This year’s highlights include new learning activities which are more special than previous years, aiming to strengthen the 12 novice monks’ skills, thinking process, analysis and presentation ability so that they can adapt the Dharma principles into their real life situation.
Furthermore, the novices will learn how to use Dharma in practical way by studying virtues and ethics lessons from worldwide fables. Starting from the first to the last day of their monkhood throughout the four weeks, the 12 young novices will learn and practice Dharma step by step from the headmaster Phra Khru Bhavanabhilas (Luangta Watcharachai Intawangso). The team of instructors includes reverend monks and several experts as well as Thailand’s famous public figures such as a group of “For Good Life” reverend monks, Dr. Art Ong Jumsai Na Ayudhya, Dr. Woraphat Phucharoen, Somkieat Junphram (Sena Ling), Kirati Thepthan, Khemanit Jamikorn (Pancake), Wannasingh Prasertkul, Suvikrom Amranand, Adam Bradshaw (John).
TrueVisions will broadcast the young monks’ daily life activities and Dharma practices live every day, from 06.00 – 21.00 hrs.
Viewers who are not able to follow the program during the daytime can catch the daily highlights from 21.00 - 22.00 hrs.
Other program segments include Dharma Talk (22.00 – 22.30 hrs.)
